Business Development Sales Representative
Are you a dynamic and driven individual looking for an exciting opportunity in business development sales? We are seeking a highly motivated professional to join our team and help us expand our customer base. As a Business Development Sales Representative, you will play a pivotal role in identifying new potential customers and fostering relationships with key industries such as MOD, Nuclear, Marine, and Construction.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Discover new opportunities: Utilize your sales acumen to uncover new potential customers and represent our division at industry exhibitions.
- Target key industries: Focus on engaging with potential customers from the MOD, Nuclear, Marine, and Construction sectors.
- Proactive outreach: Engage in cold calling, arrange video calls, and set up meetings to initiate meaningful connections.
- Customer visits: Visit potential customers based on spending potential, geographic area, and feedback. Seek authorization from your manager before planning visits.
- Monitor daily targets: Discuss daily call targets with your manager and provide feedback on potential leads or openings.
- CRM management: Maintain accurate records of sales activities in our CRM system, including company names, email addresses, and contact names. Submit a weekly summary report to your manager.
- Enquiry handling: Receive customer inquiries, ensure all information is accurate, and forward them to the office for quoting.
- Follow-up on quotes: Receive quotes, send them to customers, and diligently follow up on a daily basis. Keep a record of all feedback received.
- Sales contract review: Review any orders received and ensure they undergo a sales contract review. Forward approved orders to the sales administrator for order entry.
- Order tracking: Keep track of all orders throughout the lifecycle and provide regular updates to customers until the point of dispatch.
- Travel opportunities: Discuss and seek authorization from the Sales Manager for any travel opportunities that arise.
- Visit reports: After each customer visit, write a comprehensive report and send it to your manager.
- Continuous learning: Participate in product training sessions and be willing to study outside of working hours as necessary.
- Safety first: Adhere to all company health and safety requirements.
- Flexibility: Be open to occasional duties not listed above, as needed to support the company’s needs.

- Monday to Thursday: 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
- Friday: 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM
- 45-minute lunch break
Flexibility is expected due to the nature of the role and travel requirements
