What You Will Do:
– Complete electrical fitting, assembly, integration, and test tasks for vehicles in line with manufacturing instructions, engineering drawings, and quality standards.
– Ensure the integrity of vehicle systems, sub-systems, and line replaceable units (LRUs) through basic tests and fault finding.
– Read and interpret technical drawings to understand specifications and materials required for tasks.
– Complete technical reports and support the Quality department as needed.
– Maintain a safe and efficient working area, adhering to 5S requirements and production schedules.
– Perform crane operation and lifting tasks following safe working practices.
The role will be working a rotational shift pattern consisting of 6am/2pm Monday to Friday then 2pm- 12 midnight Monday to Thursday. Friday off. Basic salary of £38,056 plus 20% shift allowance(£45667) with an excellent benefit package on offer.
What You Will Bring:
– Level 2 qualification in Engineering/Manufacturing or equivalent experience.
– Significant assembly experience in a mechanical engineering or production environment within a similar industry.
– Proficiency in reading and understanding technical drawings and specifications.
– To be able to pass UK MOD ‘SC’ security clearance.
– Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well within a team or independently.
– A motivated, disciplined work ethic with a continuous improvement mindset.

Location:
The role is based in Telford, Shropshire so commutable from Wolverhampton, Stafford, Dudley, Kidderminster, Bridgnorth and Shrewsbury. The role offers a unique chance to work on significant defence projects within a leading company in the military vehicle Defence sector.
