A specialist machining company based in Tamworth are recruiting for an experienced Planning Engineer to work in their busy outsourced / contract department.

The successful applicant will be able to demonstrate :

• The ability to read and interpret complex engineering drawings from the automotive, aerospace & power industries
• Experience of planning man hours & related costs per project
• Ability to identify relevant manufacturing routes from drawing to finished product
• Experience of producing process layouts for Make-to -Print & Design & Manufacture projects
• Experience of Manufacturing Resource Planning packages
• Ability & experience of indentifying and sourcing sub-contract supply chains
• Outstanding written & verbal communication skills for use in liaising with colleagues, customers & suppliers.

Initial basic salary is £36,000 – £40,000 per year depending on experience and ability.
