The role

  • Maintain, troubleshoot and improve a wide range of automated production and packing equipment

  • Help develop engineering best practice across the site
  • Work closely with production and operations teams to minimise downtime and hit production targets
  • Use the CMMS for planned preventative maintenance, work orders, asset records and performance reporting

What you’ll need

  • Time-served or apprentice-trained engineer, or qualified to City & Guilds / NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in electrical, mechanical or multi-skilled engineering
  • 18th Edition IET Wiring Regulations (C&G Level 3)
  • Food Safety Level 2
  • Extensive experience in food manufacturing, FMCG or a highly automated production environment
  • Advanced fault-finding skills across both electrical and mechanical systems

  • Proven experience maintaining conveyors, motors, pumps, pneumatics, hydraulics and packaging equipment
  • Strong CMMS experience covering PPM scheduling, asset management, work orders and maintenance reporting
  • A track record of reducing downtime and improving equipment reliability

Desirable

  • Experience in food packing or high-care food manufacturing
  • Knowledge of condition-based monitoring and reliability-centred maintenance
  • Experience with Shire CMMS
