Our prestigious client, a world class manufacturer of special purpose machinery based in Tamworth, are currently looking to recruit for a TIG/MIG Fabricator Welder to join their existing team on a Permanent basis.

The ideal candidate will have experience in Aluminium and Stainless Steel TIG Welding.
The salary attached to this position will be £24,960 plus overtime and benefits.

Essential Experience:
MIG, TIG, Stick (Arc) welding
CNC Experience
Break Press & Guillotine
Sheet Metal Work
Machine Maintenance
Overhead Crane operation
Abrasive Wheel training
Manual Handling

Job Summary

Fabrication / Welding
Quality control. Sign off jobs leaving the site as to standards required
Prepare Cutting Lists
Finish cut material before ready for welding (Deburring etc)
Marking Up
Prepare Bolt Lists

Key Tasks
Fabrication of all types of jobs, steel, aluminium and stainless
Welding
Notify Technical team of any errors on the drawing.
Continuous Improvements. Offer advice on any process or machine improvements to improve efficiency and job costs wherever possible.
Quality Control. Ensuring all jobs leaving the building meet the requirements on the drawings and the quality of finish expected.
Loading / unloading deliveries and shipments
Preparation of all materials prior to welding. Includes cutting, marking out, and cleaning down all materials
Reading Drawings to create cutting lists
Preparation of Bolt lists for each job
Ensuring health and safety procedures are followed.
Ensuring the workshop and bay is clean and tidy.
